The Public Private Partnership Commission (PPPC), through the World Bank-funded Digital Malawi Acceleration Project (DMAP), has commenced a three-day intensive first aid training in Zomba.
The training aims to equip over 40 line officers from the PPPC and the Department of e-Government with essential first aid skills to support their roles across various sectors. Participants are being trained to effectively respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate assistance to ill or injured persons in their line of duty.

Speaking at the official opening, Environment Safeguards Specialist Mr. John Mawenda highlighted the importance of the training in fostering a culture of safety among staff, contractors, and all those working with the Commission.

“This training is a key step towards ensuring safety and preparedness in all our work environments. It also plays a crucial role in building stronger, more responsive teams,” said Mr. Mawenda.
Training is being conducted by the Red Cross Malawi team.
The training reflects the PPPC’s commitment to promoting workplace health and safety as part of its broader institutional development initiatives under DMAP.
