GOVERNMENT UPGRADES AND INSTALLS LOCAL AREA NETWORK (LAN) IN 24 GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS.

The Government of Malawi through the Public Private Partnership Commission (PPPC) has upgraded and installed LAN in Twenty-Four (24) Government buildings in Lilongwe and Salima under Phase 1 of the Digital Malawi Program: Digital Foundations. The Government LAN (GLAN) is providing high quality Wi-Fi access to the civil servants, citizens as well as visitors at the beneficiaries’ sites.

The following list portrays the Twenty-Four beneficiaries of GLAN:

Lilongwe: Ministry of Homeland security, Ministry of Agriculture, Account General, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Information and Digitalization, Ministry of Local government, Ministry of Education, Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC), Ministry of Finance, Office of Vice President, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare, and Distimis.

Salima: Salima District Commissioners Office, Salima Police, Salima District Hospital Office, Salima Former Town Council, Salima District Education Management Office, Salima Community Technical College (Mesh), Salima Agriculture Office, Salima Tembwe Extension Planning Area, Salima Health Management Information System, Salima Msalula Secondary (Mesh) and Salima Msalula Primary (Mesh)
